These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the WavePillars website, including free practice assessments, contact features, and related content. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Definitions

“WavePillars,” “we,” or “us” refers to the operator of the WavePillars website and assessment catalog.

“Service” means the website, catalog, quiz experience, contact form, and related features we make available.

“You” means the individual accessing or using the Service.

The Service

WavePillars provides self-directed engineering practice assessments and information about founder-led software delivery services. Assessment content is offered for learning and self-checking purposes only. The Service does not constitute professional, certification, legal, or employment advice, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome on exams, interviews, or job performance.

We may update, remove, or change assessments and site features from time to time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Content creation and AI tools

WavePillars publishes educational content on the site, including Insights articles, descriptive site copy, and practice assessments.

Insights and editorial content. Topics, structure, and conclusions reflect the operator’s professional experience and judgment. Third-party AI tools may be used only to proofread, clarify, and format text—they are not used to choose topics or replace substantive conclusions.

Practice assessments. Questions and answers are a mix of human-authored content and items generated or formatted with AI assistance, grounded in official product documentation and other authoritative sources. Every question and answer is manually reviewed for accuracy before publication.

All site content is offered for learning purposes only, as described in The Service above. It does not constitute professional certification, legal, or employment advice.

License to use assessments

Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the assessments for your personal, non-commercial learning.

You agree not to:

• Copy, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from assessment content except as allowed by law
• Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or extract bulk content from the Service
• Attempt to circumvent technical access controls or interfere with the Service’s security
• Use the Service in violation of law or in a manner that harms others or our infrastructure

Your submissions

As described in our Privacy Policy, quiz answers and scores run in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers as part of the standard quiz flow. If you contact us or otherwise submit information, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate anyone else’s rights.

Intellectual property

The Service, including assessments, wording, branding, layout, and underlying software, is owned by WavePillars or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.

Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as Google (with consent, analytics), Resend (email), Cloudflare (hosting), and Ahrefs (analytics with consent). Their terms and policies apply when you use their features. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Privacy and cookies

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using the contact form, you acknowledge those policies where applicable.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that assessments are exhaustive, error-free, or aligned with any third-party curriculum or employer expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WavePillars and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed twenty-five U.S. dollars (USD $25).

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law, including rights of consumers in the European Union.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify WavePillars against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or must comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including license restrictions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes shall be subject to the courts competent for the operator's registered address in Gdańsk, Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.

Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where practical (for example, a notice on the site). Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
